HealthTrio connect’s member portal aids health plans
in encouraging members to take a more proactive role in managing
their own health
and wellness by giving them online access to personal health information
and services. With HealthTrio connect, members can conveniently
communicate with their health plan, view personalized health information
and benefit packages, renew prescriptions, access patient education
information and maintain their own personal health records.

Self-service access. The self-service convenience of HealthTrio
connect increases member retention by empowering members to proactively
manage their own benefits, health and wellness with access to
accurate, real-time benefits information and the ability to perform
transactions online. Using HealthTrio connect, members can change their PCP, request or print an ID card, make changes to demographic
information, update dependent information, access information
regarding claims, eligibility and benefits, and get information
about referral status. The ability to perform these types of administrative
transactions has been proven to reduce costs for health plans.

Benefit Selection and Management. HealthTrio connect allows the
health plan to recommend benefit coverage to members based on
personalized needs. Benefit questionnaires are used to help identify
member needs and find the packages that meet them. Members can
select providers and hospitals based on service costs, quality
indicators and other personalized requests such as gender, physical
location or percent of benefit covered. Members can enroll online
and also make inquiries for such things as claims status or coverage,
including balances in Health Reimbursement Accounts.

Personal Health Record (PHR). The HealthTrio connect PHR offers
a unique opportunity for members to become involved in their health
and wellness. By allowing members to view and have input into
their health records, a more complete record is created. These
capabilities also allow health plans to reduce medical management
costs by providing personalized health and wellness content to
each user and allowing them to interact with the health plan in
real-time to review, update and customize their own personal health
maintenance and health improvement plans. Because information
is never deleted, the HealthTrio connect PHR becomes a lifetime
record for the member and includes:
- Illnesses/Conditions. Each member’s PHR includes a summary of current and
past health problems, symptoms and conditions.
- Surgical/Procedure
History. A full summary of surgeries and major procedures
is available for the member to view or add to.

Visit History. Provider visits and admissions are recorded
and displayed for user review.

Health/Reminder calendar. The health calendar allows members
to be reminded of all types of health events. This includes
member-scheduled reminders and those based on preventive
health guidelines.

Patient report card/health record summary. The health plan
can establish patient report card criteria for reporting
information about health status to members.

Health care plan. Members can create their own plan of care
to help deal with their medical problems.

Immunization Profile. A full summary of the member’s
immunization history is available.
HealthTrio
connect provides the ability for members to grant permission online
for specific providers to access their health records. The member
can grant family members access to their health record. The health
plan can establish rules to provide parents and/or custodians access
to child/dependent records.
